Today, in the 8th Annual Wolverine Scramble Tournament at Aliso Viejo Country Club, the girls showed their stuff by winning the Girls Division of the competition by 19 strokes over teams from Dana Hills, Mira Costa and Orange Lutheran.  

Due to the unusual circumstances of COVID, girls were invited--for the first time--to the boys' tournament, and it was a HUGE success.  Alina and Annabell shot a fantastic 11-under 61, but lost the 2-person title to Sydnie Duval and Zoie Fuentes who also combined for a 61, but won on a "card off."  April and Malia earned 3rd place recognition with a 6-under 66.  

Ashley teamed up with Reese while Kanamu and Railey made another formidable duo.  "It was really fun!" exclaimed Ashley Chan after the round.  "The boys put on a great tournament," commented Coach Biggs, "and the girls played some really good golf in a fun new format." 

The varsity girls will play on Wednesday and Thursday this week against San Juan Hills which will complete their regular season.  The JVs have matches against Dana, San Juan and San Clemente over the next week which will conclude their campaign.  Wish them luck as we wrap up the 2021 golf season.
